I think there is no greater pain in life than bearing an untold story or feeling like you have to go it alone and do your work completely by yourself. As your therapist, I view my role as a fellow travel companion and a guide to help you navigate the terrain of your life. I seek to create a safe space for you to explore your story, create detours where there are obstacles, and create a path to a better future. I enjoy working with folks who not only want to find relief from their problems, but also seek to shift the paradigm of how they see themselves in relation to others and the world.
I take a somatic based holistic approach to therapy, which means I believe our minds, bodies, and emotions are interconnected-when one aspect of our life is affected, all other areas are impacted as well. Whether through trauma or a highly stressful event, often times our emotions and thoughts become disconnected or easily dysregulated.
In our work, I pay attention to what is happening in your body to help you reconnect and reintegrate your thoughts and feelings. Therapy with me will help decrease your symptoms, improve your relationship with yourself and others, and give you a greater sense of well-being and wholeness, which will overall help you live a more enjoyable life.
