As a trauma-informed and radically affirming therapist, I aim to help clients with challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, self-image, relationships, eating disorders, and more. The majority of my clinical experience has been in working with LGBTQ+ clients as well as individuals with substance use challenges. I work from a sex positive, culturally-sensitive, and polyamory-aware lens and welcome discussion of these topics in therapy. Furthermore, as a therapist with foundations in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, I incorporate mindfulness in therapy to help clients live a more psychologically flexible life.
It is incredibly important for me to make therapy accessible and welcoming to those who it historically has overlooked as a field. My personal and professional feminist values lead to a socially-aware, integrative approach to therapy that considers not just the mental health of the person in front of me, but also the world that the person lives in.
From my lived experience with mental health challenges, I know how difficult and scary it can be to ask for help by reaching out to a therapist. I encourage you to reach out in whatever way feels easiest and safest to you, even if you're not sure where to start. I'm happy to offer free phone consultations to answer any questions you might have about therapy!
