Are you navigating a relationship where anxiety speaks louder than love and belonging? I help individuals, couples, partners, and families with issues and topics related to infidelity, jealousy, sex and kink, grief and loss, and relational/spiritual trauma, especially if those issues intersect with LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC identities and/or non-traditional relational dynamics including polyamory, non-monogamy, single parent, and blended families. My therapeutic approach to relationships is centered on liberation and the nurturing of a mutual interdependence that respects the autonomy and divinity of each person.
As your therapist, I take a liberatory and non-pathological approach to the relational problems you are experiencing. Narrative therapy and the Hakomi method, a somatic mindfulness intervention, are the primary modalities I use to help clients explore the narratives and body-centered consciousness that pervade their relational experiences.
We inherit a lot of historical, familial, and cultural scripts about how to be in relationship with each other and the meaning and practice of love. Shedding old stories about who we are and our relationships is challenging. Together, we can explore your heart and values and create narratives that support love and belonging.
