About
I work across the age-span, from young children in play therapy, teenagers planning for graduation, college students grasping to stay focused, young women adjusting to motherhood, and older adults seeking more peace in their lives. I am curious about people’s perspectives and how we can shift our thoughts to feel better. I aim to be a supportive guide, with clear communication and professional boundaries. I enjoy helping other people to become assertive. I have worked with many trauma survivors.
I am very invested in keeping parents involved in their children's therapy services. I try to schedule frequent parent guidance sessions. Many people describe prior experiences where therapists seemed disengaged and passive, or "just played Uno with my kid." I am a lively therapist with strong communication skills. Warmth and humor help, too!
I have practiced therapy in northern and central Lake County for thirteen years, and I am well-networked. If I am not the right fit, I will try to connect you with another professional— just call! It’s OK if you’re not sure at the first call or appointment — we can figure out a plan together.
