I work with individuals across the lifespan however my specialties are working with women and health care/mental health professionals. My Ideal clients are interested in deeper, longer-term work, and are open to emotional exploration and mind-body approaches. My areas of specialization include complex issues related to trauma, abuse or neglect, grief, loss, separation, life transition, relationship difficulties, dissociation, emotional regulation, sexuality, body image concerns, and fertility issues. I also have significant experience working with cancer survivors and their families as well as in the area of relational violence.
I consider myself a holistic practitioner who works from a primarily relational, attachment based stance that integrates awareness of mind, body, spirit, and connection to others. I use many techniques including Internal Family Systems, yoga, meditation, and hypnosis to facilitate emotional and bodily awareness, mindfulness, interconnection, and healing.
I have significant training in yoga therapy and have completed my 200hr RYT certification. I use yoga in both my individual work in therapy groups. Yoga has been found useful in treating trauma, depression, anxiety, body image and food related concerns, as well as for stress management and self care. I am also trained in hypnotherapy and self-hypnosis.
