My approach to therapy is rooted in the wellness model of psychotherapy. I am client centered, collaborative, trauma-informed, and influenced by liberation psychology, feminist theories, and positive psychology. I believe that therapy is a space where you can be your most authentic self, as we work to uncover your deepest desires, strengths, and inner resilience. I believe that the culture and systems we exist in, as well as the language and narratives we use to describe our lived experience, play a strong role in shaping how we see ourselves and the world around us.
As a result, I often combine narrative therapy, psychodynamic theory, and positive psychology, with somatic work and mindfulness where appropriate. My approach is integrative in nature, which means I seek out the modalities that fit your needs. It is important to me to create a space that feels nonjudgmental, supportive, genuine, and open.
I welcome clients of all backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations, and identities who are seeking a therapist that will work in collaboration with them through authenticity, compassion, and unwavering support. Your lived experience matters. You deserve to live a full life where you feel that you can be your most authentic self.
