An experienced therapist originally from Toronto, Canada with 25+ years of experience in mental health. I pursue key therapeutic approaches in the treatment of psychological conditions, with a strong medical background in assessing biological factors. I'm oriented toward cognitive approaches, such as CBT/REBT with an active, engaged style in the process. You'll find me somewhat informal in my office without a formal reception procedure. If you're adjusting to Sedona or the USA, I bring substantial multicultural experience, including facility in several languages. Exploring a client's story is a journey that I treasure.
For 12+ years, I have worked in private practice while teaching part-time, and working with young university students. My specialties include gender identity and LGBTQA; eating issues / eating disorders; bariatric evaluation post-surgical support; PTSD/trauma. Relationship counseling/marital therapy (Gottman Level I) and work with couples in distress.
I welcome clients for counseling in regard to mental health concerns, gender identity and sexuality, as well as trauma. As a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist, I'm involved with sensitivity/staff trainings for agencies concerning eating behaviors, as well as LGBTQA and trauma factors in the healthcare/public sectors.
