As a practical, pragmatic counselor, I believe we all do the best we can, but life gets messy, challenging, overwhelming, and stressful. My job as your counselor is to support you, who you are and where you are, in your journey. I work at the intersection of grief and trauma, with the crosswalks of substance use, anxiety, depression, and a wildcard. I encourage my clients to be real and unfiltered, with no topics being off-limits. My extensive qualifications include; National Board Certified Counselor, Master Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) Practitioner, Clinical Supervisor, DBT, and several others.
I work with those experiencing effects of complex trauma, including narcissistic violence and abuse, divorce recovery, men’s issues, addiction/substance use, self-harm, boundary-setting, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality, adult ADHD, etc. I respect the LGBTQIA+ community and those in traditional or non-traditional relationships.
My self-care is being outside with my German Shorthaired Pointers, my kayak and fishing rod, or some crawfish traps. I raised my kids in Scottsdale. My bachelors degree came before the advent of the internet and my masters in the Zoom era. Embracing change has been a journey. If you feel you can use counseling and support, please reach out and let's chat.
