The effects of this can be seen in the lives of children as demonstrated by the rise of anxiety, depression, ADHD, and suicide amongst children ages 10 to 14. I work with families helping them to restore balance to life and adjust to the demands of family life. I enable couples to see how their words, thoughts, and emotions effect the family system. I help to open the eyes of families allowing them to see their "blind spots" which hinder their growth and progress utilizing the PREPARE/ENRICH program.
As a marriage and family therapist, I know how it feels to struggle with a blended marriage having been married for over 30 years. I can identify with the struggles of step-parenting and dealing with ex-spouses. I have walked through the child and teen years. I get it, marriage is hard and a grind, but very rewarding!
