Psychologist, PsyD

Welcome. I offer an initial 30 minute phone or video consultation at no charge. It's essential to determine comfort level and fit before proceeding. I have have expertise with adult ADHD, marital/relational therapy, trauma (PTSD), geriatric populations, bipolar spectrum disorders, and the more common disorders (major depression/anxiety). My approach aims to provide some immediate symptom relief while also focusing on deeper, longer term resolution. Many clinical situations cannot be quickly resolved in a way that sustains. Therefore, I am also attentive to unconscious processes, relational patterns and family-of-origin influences.
I'm EMDR certified to help with trauma work. I work also toward differential diagnosis, as many disorders look similar, but are actually quite different (ADHD vs Bipolar for instance). My relationship with several psychiatrists is helpful around medication considerations, if necessary. About 1/3 of my practice is couple's, marital, or pre-marital therapy.
Regardless of diagnosis, a clear and favorable sense of self must be a part of the work. Otherwise, gains will be connected to a weak foundation. Patients struggle around why they still feel bad, despite their best efforts and own interventions. If these efforts fail, symptoms become louder. Because of Covid-19, all sessions are currently on video platforms,
