Speaking freely and without inhibitions with your therapist is essential and I work to provide a warm, safe environment for you to do so. I also offer group therapy, which is very effective when combined with individual sessions.
In particular, I specialize in treating chronic pain and other mind-body symptoms. Rather than "pain management," we can help you achieve full recovery and become pain- or symptom-free. There are a few different evidence-based ways we can do this, including Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) and Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET).

Video: http://vimeo.com/38248612. My therapy group provides an opportunity to get sensitive but direct feedback. There are very few other settings where you can get that kind of help. Group members support one another by striving for openness and honesty. By talking about both situations in peoples' lives, as well as examining interactions in the group, members are able to make changes and try them out in the safety of the group. By doing so, people can stop repeating the same patterns in their relationships. The group is most beneficial for working on romantic, family, or friend relationships.
