I am a licensed clinical social worker with close to 15 years of experience providing mental health services. I have worked with children, adolescents and adults struggling with a variety of mental health and behavioral issues. I am skilled at providing services to individuals, couples, siblings or the family as a whole. My approach is to develop a strong collaboration with my clients where we work together as a team to accomplish treatment goals and improve one's quality of life.
I specialize in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). This approach helps people to recognize unhealthy thought patterns and replace them with more adaptive and successful ways of thinking. Once they accomplish this, they experience less emotional turmoil and negative behavioral consequences and lead happier and more fulfilling lives.
I also have extensive experience working with children who have experienced various forms of trauma (neglect, physical and sexual abuse, emotional abuse). I utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), providing a safe and nurturing environment for the child/adolescent to process their trauma and begin to heal.
