Jeff Zapor - Lyon Counseling Center
Licensed Professional Counselor, MA, LPC, CAADC
Location
My work centers around helping those dealing with stress and trauma, and what happens in people's lives when stress and trauma remain untreated. This includes depression, anxiety, addiction, helplessness, and hopelessness, and more. These issues show up in personal lives, relationships, and at work. I help people in all of these area. I have an advanced addictions credential and I consider that my specialty. I also do couples work, employment issues, and work with blended family/divorce/separation issues. I coordinate with courts/probation for people ordered to therapy and can do evaluations for driver's license appeals.
I utilize an eclectic approach to counseling, drawing upon Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Family Systems. I am drawn to these theories because they offer actual healing.
I am excited to bring this service to my neighborhood. South Lyon is home and it is a privilege and an honor to be able to serve this area. Thank you for checking out my page and look forward to hearing form you.
