Hello. I am a therapist in private practice with over 20 yrs experience in a variety of settings. I have a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, am licensed as an LMFT, and certified as an alcohol and drug counselor. Essentially, this work is about Resilience and Joy. With those qualities in mind, therapy in my practice usually includes some skill building in the areas of mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), self soothing, and assertive communication. With CBT we gain insight into the nature of mind and emotions, and become more able to manage them rather than being controlled by them.
I see individual adults in my practice. If we work together I will strive to understand the inner and outer challenges you are experiencing, to help you have a more accurate view of these challenges, and to clarify the changes you can make to live a more fulfilling, enjoyable life.
Feel free to contact me with any questions about my practice or if you would like to discuss beginning this important work.
