I place importance on being approachable, thoughtful, sensitive and direct. In therapy, I think it is valuable to focus on both past and present experiences. Looking at your history can help us understand what sets of beliefs, about yourself and the world, might be holding you back from having a better experience in life - and what makes these beliefs so powerful. Examining current behaviors and interactions allows for reflection and adjustment of unhelpful thoughts, feelings and behaviors impeding your success and personal satisfaction.
Some of my current interests include working with people facing problems with self-esteem, anxiety, depression, grief, as well as marital, family and peer relationship difficulties.
I have trained extensively in CBT at the Beck Institute in Philadelphia, RTL at the Relational Life Institute in Boston, Sexual Addiction, and The Daring Way with Brene Brown in Houston. This diverse training allows me to apply a wide variety of disciplines to many of life's challenges.
