I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 10 years of experience helping individuals and families. I specialize in anxiety, depression, addiction, bipolar disorder, ADHD, grief/loss, and men's issues. Over the past 10 years, I have worked in many major treatment settings, providing therapy to clients in hospitals, residential rehab programs, and outpatient facilities. Through this work, I have cultivated and strengthened a unique skill set to help clients using a person-centered approach to therapy.
My person-centered approach to therapy is rooted in the therapeutic relationship. When we meet, the focus will be on building trust, discussing what brought you to therapy, and why you decided to start now. These elements are important to my approach because your life and experiences are unique. For therapy to be effective, it can’t be one-size-fits-all.
I am often asked about what contributes to client success in therapy. Although I have learned a lot in my 10+ years as a therapist, my answer to this question has never changed: what matters most is how clients feel when they leave my office.
