I believe that change and healing come through relationships; our relationship with self as well as our relationships with others. It is because of this belief that I approach my work as a collaborative venture that requires large amounts of both compassion and curiosity. It is my goal to create an atmosphere where these qualities can be nurtured and to provide the individual with the support and space to reflect on old patterns of behavior and the opportunity to respond in new ways that allow for a more fully realized and authentic way of living.
While I have been trained in a number of modalities and work with a diverse group of clients, some areas of particullar interest are adults, young adults, couples counseling, LGBTQ issues, drug and alcohol use and abuse, grief and mourning as well as eating disorders and body related issues.
My previous career was in the fitness industry, which allows for a unique understanding of the mind/body connection. I understand that many of the obstacles we encounter in the physical world can be linked to negative self beliefs that limit our strength and agency, both in body and spirit.
