As a psychologist and psychoanalyst, I aim to help patients understand the trouble in their lives and make significant changes. I believe it is important to take the time to get to know patients' stories. My approach is both collaborative and challenging. Sometimes this involves helping people look at parts of themselves that are painful, or hard to see clearly. Many patients benefit from long-term, intensive therapy, while others find that shorter-term therapy helps them solve immediate problems.
My training has included fellowships at Harvard Medical School and the Austen Riggs Center. I am experienced in treating people suffering from a range of problems, including, depression, anxiety, identity struggles, problems with thinking and attention, school and career difficulties and family and relationship struggles.
I see patients in individual therapy and psychoanalysis, and also work with families and couples in which the members find themselves stuck in problematic patterns. Although I am not on insurance panels, many insurance plans include out-of-network benefits that can help cover the cost of therapy.
