I respect the courage that it takes to seek help when life's challenges become overwhelming. It is often a very painful place that can be difficult to share with another person. I am very sensitive to the fact that the first step can be the most difficult. I use a collaborative, compassionate approach with my clients. I have many years experience in medical and psychiatric inpatient settings. I have continued to build upon my competency working privately, counseling individuals and families. My experience working with a wide range of complex issues includes but, is not limited to, addiction, anxiety, depression, health challenges, psychotic disorders, and mood disorders.
I have extensive experience helping individuals and families of various economic and cultural backgrounds deal with medical and emotional challenges. I have worked in most areas of inpatient medical and psychiatric care, including, appointment as the lead geriatric team social worker in inpatient treatment and therapist in inpatient addiction treatment.
