Seeking help through counseling provides us with a safe place to empty our hearts and suffer less, to share our stories and be met with compassion, to receive support and encouragement so that we can dig deep and keep going! There are times in life when we feel like things just aren’t working anymore. Sometimes we feel overwhelmed, tired, lost, alone, hurt. It is frustrating when old thoughts and behaviors are contributing to feeling stuck. In those times the ability to seek support on our journey is an example of our inner resourcefulness, hope, strength, and courage.
I am passionate about helping individuals and families with reaching their goals as well as realizing their strengths and learning skills to have healthy and fulfilling lives and relationships. I believe in building skills and practicing them as well as addressing unhelpful thought and behavior patterns.
My approach is based in compassion, honesty, respect, and kindness. I am trained in treating issues related to self-destructive behaviors as well as children that have experienced trauma. I provide an environment that encourages and fosters growth and healing.
