I established a private practice to help clients learn how to manage chronic pain without daily pain medications and to help clients with sleep disorders (all types) learn to sleep deeply and wake rested without sleeping pills. I also help clients with complex medical diagnoses to develop wellness programs. I have been doing this work for over 30 years. I have been providing Behavioral Sleep Medicine therapy for the UCLA Sleep Medicine Programs for 12 years. My approach to correcting sleep disorders encompasses neurocognitive self-regulation, mindfulness, breathing training, mind control to stop mind racing,sleep education and classic CBT for insomnia.
I have developed a very effective approach for correcting sleep disorders in clients with severe pain and illness, this reduces pain, fatigue and improve thinking and coping skills. The goal is to eliminate the need for medications.
