I have worked with many people over the years; young children, adolescents, young adults, adults, all with various issues. Many of the clients I see are struggling with anxiety, worries, depression, chemical use, relationship concerns, or parenting dilemmas. Often times, people are most helped by having someone to listen, to help them explore the issue, and to find solutions that work for them. My 35 years of experience have given me insight into what strategies are most effective. I am licensed and skilled in both mental health and chemical use issues.
My work centers on utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy for depression. I typically see a person for an initial session and then discuss options that may be most helpful, depending on their objectives for therapy.
I have been fortunate in the teachers and mentors that have guided me along this path. For me, its about giving back what I have learned along the way that helps my clients find ways to solve thier problems. I am happy to respond to contacts through this site.
