I am the Founder of Fairmount Associates, LLC, a private counseling practice combining traditional psychotherapy approaches with hypnotherapy , mindfulness, & energy therapies to address issues as relationships, marriage, separation, divorce, depression, grief and loss, parenting issues, substance abuse, and self esteem. When appropriate, I employ hypnosis and hypnotherapy along with energy and mindfulness therapies to overcome anxiety, fears, phobias, anger, stress; to improve focus for sport, speaking and test taking; preparing for medical procedures & treatments; deal with chronic pain & illness; smoking and weight issues; & for stress reduction & stress management. This comprehensive background and experience provide a platform for my skills as a Life Coach.
My experience includes serving as faculty of the Yale School of Nursing to develop a graduate program in family & child therapy; developing & directing mental health services agencies; researcher in medication clinical trials for schizophrenia, bi-polar & depressive disorders; & private psychotherapist. I have added hypnotherapy & life coaching to expand my abilities to meet client needs.
As a therapist, I always have searched for approaches to better assist my clients achieve their goals more quickly than most traditional talk therapy approaches, I discovered alternative therapies including hypnotherapy, energy techniques of EFT, acupressure; guided imagery and mindful therapies that complement and increase effectiveness, when used appropriately.
