Feeling stressed, overwhelmed and just need to talk to someone who is not a friend or family. I enjoy working with lots of people from different ages, backgrounds and needs with a focus on Depression and Anxiety as well as other areas. I have experience working in Crisis situations while at the county ER, community clinics, Foster children and families as well as individuals in outpatient private practice. My goal is to meet you where you are and decide together what is next.
I approach things from working on current Solution Focused Orientation and then as we create some momentum, motivation and coping skills to use CBT to work on changing thinking to address barriers to making changes and seeing the life you want.
I am a Mother, I have 2 young children, I work and feel the same stress of balancing life, relationships and work. I have direct experience with substance abuse dependency, I personally have Depression and Post-Natal Depression and have found ways to cope, but some days are still not easy. My goal is for you to find the right fit, even if that is not me.
