Welcome. I'm Jeanette DeSilva, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), with 16 years dedicated to walking alongside individuals on their journey to lasting freedom from issues such as anxiety and depression, destructive behaviors and addiction or those who are just wanting help developing a deeper spiritual life and rebuild their relationship with God.
In our work together, I integrate the evidence-based principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). The core idea of CBT is that our thoughts significantly influence our feelings and behaviors.
Together we'll work collaboratively to identify and re-frame unhelpful thought patterns, belief systems and behaviors that contribute to mental health struggles, poor self-image, relationship issues, grief and loss and destructive behaviors like unhealthy coping.
We will focus on:
Addressing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and interpersonal/relational conflict resolution. I am also extensively experienced in substance abuse and addictions.
