People often ask me "How do you listen to people's problems all day?" I am inspired by the people I meet who often have difficult backgrounds and lives, yet are willing to work hard to grow and be happy, healthy, human beings. I am touched by their commitment and dedication to work on themselves instead of being angry, miserable people. What more important investment is there than investing time and energy in oneself?
With compassion, dedication and humor, we will work through whatever challenges you are facing and find balance and happiness. It is a challenge to bring joy in our life during difficult times, yet essential that we do this. I have over years of experience with individuals, couples and groups, as well as training graduate students and other professionals. I still love my work.
My practice is diverse with a range of problems and cultural groups. I have a specialty in trauma, sexual addiction, sexuality and relationship issues including pre-marital counseling, infertility, pregnancy and adjustment to parenthood. I work with gay and lesbian clients and especially enjoy doing couple work. I run a new mom's group and I am very interested in supporting new fathers, as well.

Moms In Babeland (newborn-12+months) holds a special place in my heart, personally and professionally. It's culture shock having a baby! Previous members said the Group is a "Lifeline for new parents. . . .The only place you can really talk. . . . The best thing I did since having a baby."
