Welcome. I have been working as a Psychotherapist for over 25 years. I consider it a privilege to witness people's process, strengths, vulnerabilities, and transformations. I trust in our human capacity to heal and grow and to live into the lives we all long for. I am a licensed Masters-level Psychologist, a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and certified in Brainspotting. Both Somatic Experiencing and Brainspotting use awareness of body sensations and knowledge of the nervous system to help detect and heal traumatic or painful experiences.
These body/brain therapies impact the neurobiological system to bring about a greater sense of ease, balance, and better overall health. I currently have limited openings for clients who are specifically looking for short term Somatic therapy (8-12 sessions).
In these sessions, we will identify a focal point of work and through the lens of somatic awareness, unravel knots of stress and trauma lodged in the nervous system. Drawing from Brainspotting, we explore how eye position and bilateral stimulation can unlock deep seated emotions, providing a gateway to healing. I am currently offering telehealth sessions.
