I am a bilingual (Spanish & English) marriage and family therapist licensed in California with over 14 years of experience working in clinical practice. I am born and raised in San Francisco's Mission District. I am Salvarodan and Nicaraguan; and a native Spanish speaker. I adhere to the First Nations (Maya and Nahuatl) and Yoruba paradigm of health and wellness. I integrate these paradigms within the framework of Liberation Psychology; and evidenced-based techniques and interventions to empower clients on their healing journey.
I believe that it is critical to collaborate with cleints in identifying and attaining what they are seeking. I believe that clients are experts in their lives and I am an expert my field. I use strength-based, trauma informed, and culturally congruent clinical interventions.
As of 2012, my clinical experience has afforded me the opportunity to provide brief and long-term psychotherapy utilizing strength-based, trauma informed, and culturally congruent clinical interventions. I integrate social justice, social services, and psychotherapeutic interventions.
