If you found me, then I know you're doing your best to support your teenager or the teenager in your life through challenging circumstances. You've found the right therapist to help you to support them. I'm also going to help keep your teen navigate their experiences to learn skills to help them cope and manage their emotional wellness. With so many touchpoints, I believe it is critical to help teenagers create an informed decision-making self-compass to avoid self-inflicted harm, which can include self-mutilation, isolation, suicidal thoughts, and more.
Teen Talk uses a teen-centered brief therapy approach, allowing teens to feel successful in treatment. Being a teen-centered clinician will enable teenagers to explore without an overwhelming sense of pressure from an authority figure. This ultimately allows the teen to come to their conclusions and renders the results every parent can feel safe with.
