Hey, I’m Jay! I specialize in working with the queer community, trauma, and substance use (you do not need to qualify for all or any of these to see me). If complex trauma and PTSD symptoms are things you struggle with, I am trained in EMDR and Brainspotting. The most important aspect to therapy is creating a therapeutic relationship. Our relationship will be the precipice to the healing that occurs. I respect boundaries, I am an active therapist and value mutual safety, which are critical to our relationship. You are your own expert. My goal is to help my community heal and find wholeheartedness and acceptance, exactly as you are.
I am an EMDR and Brainspotting therapist and Certified Trauma Specialist for individuals through the Trauma Institute International. I’m currently a doctoral student researching the intersection of the LGBTQIA community, trauma, and substance use. I am committed to staying up to date on the most evidence-based and effective trauma treatments for my clients.
