Oh, hi! I'm Jay (they/them) and I'm a queer, white therapist that works with other queer folks. I don't do "neutral" and therapy/social work IS political. I won't pretend that many of the struggles folks face are not connected to and often rooted in systems of oppression and power. If you're looking for therapy that sidesteps, or worse, blatantly ignores those realities, I'm not the therapist for you. I'd be happy to point you in the direction of a better fit.
My approach prioritizes the relationship between myself and clients first and evidenced-based interventions second to that connection. I believe all persons are deserving of affirmation in ALL identities and intersectionality of those identities. I provide gender affirming care and celebratory treatment.
I do not provide services to folks that are comfortable being intentionally racist, homophobic, transphobic or ableist.
If you are in need of a letter of support for the purpose of medical gender affirming care, I do provide these routinely as part of treatment for established clients of any age.
