About
I believe that all people seeking therapy are truly unique, yet we all have the same basic needs for acceptance, compassion, happiness, and human connection. For some, our early childhood experiences prevent us from getting these needs met as adults. For others, it is simply the stresses and demands of everyday life that contribute to our feeling anxious, depressed or having chronic pain symptoms. Sometimes we experience losses (big or small) which are hard to process and recover from. Often it is a combination of factors that we cannot clearly identify. Therapy is the path toward getting your needs met.
I will listen to your unique story in a manner that is supportive and non judgmental. My number one priority is to develop a warm, positive, genuine, and trusting therapeutic relationship with you. We all have the capacity for resilience, and I will help you to recognize your strengths. Together we can take the path towards your healing, growth, and change.
Making the first contact to a therapist is often the hardest step to take. I understand how anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and chronic physical pain can impact the quality of your life. It is the journey of therapy that will bring you closer to having peace of mind, gratifying relationships, and ultimately a life with more joy and meaning.
