I see frustration, sadness, and fear as information and energy for change. I bring compassion and empathy to create a safe place for you to look carefully at what's causing difficulties in your personal or work life. Those come from self-doubt, grief, changing circumstances. I know different people need different approaches. I help people find more skillful ways to think and act. I help parents regain leadership in their families. I know young people don't need lectures. To quiet traumatic memories without re-exposure, I use EMDR. My clients learn Mindfulness Stress Reduction to manage stress daily.
The work of feeling safer, stronger is the work of getting the destructive past out of your present. Repairing negative thought patterns means reducing the attention negative memories get. My part is giving full attention to what you are saying and doing and then letting you see what I see.
My approach always involves helping you learn to stay better, not just get better. I work to repair or clarify relationships with your family members, your spouse or partner, your work, yourself. If it fits for you, we work on your relationship with what's greater than yourself.
