The US Surgeon General declared that loneliness is a nationwide epidemic. The UK made a similar assessment a few months ago. Group Therapy can help one feel less lonely while also learning to have healthy, open type communicating over time. I have a therapy group Thursdays for anxiety, depression and isolation. People of diverse backgrounds welcome.

Personal growth oriented therapy group
This process therapy group meets in Richardson for young to mid-life adults (approx ages 25-55) with anxiety, depression, isolation etc. This is a confidential place for learning by experience including how to be vulnerable, give/receive honest, emotional feedback become aware of your blind spots. Most people start nervously but come to see group as meaningful. In this group people of color/immigrants are welcome. Regularly in this group we discuss topics—sometimes hard ones—with genuineness and emotional honesty. This group meets weekly but with consistent breaks throughout the year.
