I have been working in behavioral health for 34 years and have been a licensed and certified clinical social worker in Maryland for 28 years. I have worked in a variety of settings in clinical and leadership roles. These settings include psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, outpatient programs, treatment foster care, special education, managed care organizations and employee assistance programs. I thoroughly enjoy working with clients who are seeking help in healing and removing obstacles to their pursuits of fulfilling lives. I apply a developmental perspective in helping clients gain insight and move forward.
Most of my experience has been working with individuals impacted by trauma/painful life experiences. I have worked with people of all ages and backgrounds but currently provide therapy to adults. Counseling other psychotherapists and working musicians has become a specialty of mine that allows me to apply my experience, skills and personal relatability.
In addition to offering psychotherapy services, I am an experienced and board certified clinical supervisor, trainer and behavioral health program development consultant to agencies and organizations. I share a home with my amazing wife, three young adult children and two dogs. In my spare time I travel, do custom carpentry and play music locally.
