Relationships are a fundamental part of community, and community is a fundamental part of being human. Yet, the various wounds, trauma, assumptions, and hopes make navigating relationships difficult, if downright distressing. But it doesn’t have to be that way. All relationships take hard work and cooperation, and any relationship can work if everyone want them to work. We just need the right perspective and strategies.
Problems in relationships, regardless of the type, struggle with communication. The work we do in therapy can help everyone learn to listen and speak to be understood, facilitating better cooperation and resolution even when fundamental problems are complex. I help all clients find a voice where they may have had none before.
I believe myself to be a therapist who makes therapy a truly healing and productive experience for men and boys who might otherwise dismiss the benefits of therapy. I believe I am gifted at helping reluctant participants see the value and reap the benefits of therapy.
