Through deep, intentional listening and a collaborative approach, I tailor treatment to individuals' needs. I enjoy helping individuals increase emotional awareness and manage difficult emotions, decrease distress, improve relationships, solve problems, and meet personal goals. I have particular expertise in working with individuals who are experiencing difficulty related to relationships, body image, self-esteem, identity, and life transitions. I have expertise in working with couples, whether this be in the context of addressing serious issues, or enhancing relationships. I offer premarital counseling. I also provide a safe space for individuals and couples identifying as lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, and transgender.

In addition to Dialectical Behavior Therapy, I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Somatic Experience techniques to help clients experience and change their emotional responses in real time. I have expertise in helping couples improve communication, face life transitions, navigate infidelity, and address individual mental health issues together.

I find practicing mindfulness and incorporating these techniques into treatment to be a key component for positive outcomes in client's well-being. My interest and training in mindfulness comes from a background in teaching yoga, training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and staying current on neuroscience research.
