As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I know therapy can be an overwhelming step. Over the past 9 years I’ve worked with children, teens, adults, and families in and out of the school system navigating the many trials and victories they’ve overcome and accomplished. Therapy is a place where everyone has a story and experience that defines their choices and how they found a way to survive.
My biggest focus is on genuine authentic connection through compassion, patience and encouraging a person to be a human first. I have worked with many children and teens over the years, especially those who struggle with ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, or navigating their identity in the LGBTQ+ community.
Therapy can feel scary because it means facing things that can be difficult topics like shame, guilt and anger. My approach focuses on empowering people to find their voice and recognize that through communication, boundaries and reachable goals. Seeking therapy is about being able to feel safe and finding ways to love yourself through the good and the bad.
