Jasmine received her Bachelor’s in Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University and her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University. Jasmine's diverse background gives her a better understanding of the impact of cultural factors on mental health. She strives to create an individualized working therapeutic relationship with her clients.
Jasmine's approach to treatment is person-centered with the goal of promoting self-empowerment. She utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy to address issues related to thought processes, feelings, and behaviors. She also utilizes trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy to identify triggers, process traumatic experiences, and develop healthy coping skills.
Jasmine believes that therapy does not have a one-size-fits-all approach, as people experience life in their own unique way. Whether a client is new to therapy or has worked with another professional in the past, Jasmine's goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space to express themselves and work through life’s challenges at their own pace.
