About
All human beings want to be seen, understood, & accepted. Therapy can be a safe & intimate space for such an experience. As a therapist, I believe we all need someone to empower, validate, & actively listen to us in an empathic way, which is what I thrive to do. I help in navigating life transitions and processing emotions, thoughts, and experiences that cause distress. I specialize in anxiety, self-doubt, decision-making, low self-esteem, processing shame and trauma, coping with Latinx family trauma, 1st gen. stress, the BIPOC experience, and childhood trauma.
I am a NY & Colorado licensed therapist. I use 3 main modalities: Psychodynamic, Humanistic, and Somatic-based Psychotherapy (you can learn more about these modalities on my website); and I practice in an anti-oppressive and anti-racist lens. I am also the author of "12 Ways to Cope With Your Latina Mom..." 12 Ways to Cope With Your Latino Dad..."
Before trying to make an appointment, please look at my Specialized Areas on my website to assess fit. EMAIL me for a quicker response! But PLEASE include WHY you are seeking therapy AND if you will be using out-of-network benefits (if you don't, I will know that you did not read this important information).
