Hello, my name is Jasmin Rodriguez, LCSW. I have been providing therapy to children ages 5 to 18 for about 3.5 years. I have experience working with children in the foster care system, trauma, depression, and anxiety. I enjoy utilizing CBT and exploring how our thoughts impact what we feel, and helping find ways to challenge thoughts. I also utilize a modality to help individuals process trauma. I also enjoy working on different coping skills. I like to discuss communication during the first session, and I allow the space for clients to communicate as much as they need to.
Throughout my experience, I have worked with children between 5 to 18, but within that group, I have worked the most with 9 to 16-year-olds. I am open to any conditions but have worked the most with depression, anxiety, and trauma.
I always knew I wanted to be in the helping profession, and I wanted to do direct services. I felt a passion for therapy and mental health the moment I began internships. I see myself doing this as my career.
