Complex trauma changes the way our brains work over time. Fortunately, healing does the same thing. By working through how distressing events impacted us, we can create a life where we feel fully alive and can thrive.
While I have worked with a variety of different mental health concerns, I specialized in complex trauma and dissociation, neurodivergence and autism in adults, and LGBT issues. I am a nonbinary counselor; my pronouns are they/them.
I offer therapy from a humanistic existential perspective, which means two things: I believe that all of my clients have inherent worth, no matter what, and that everyone is capable of change and becoming the person they want to be. You are the expert on your own life. My job is to help you navigate your map and give you the tools you need to do so.
Realizing that something in your life needs to change is hard. To even consider reaching out for therapy is an accomplishment on its own. If you feel like I may be able to help you, please feel free to reach out with any questions you might have.
Whatever your next step is, I hope that tomorrow is kinder to you than today.
