I view the therapeutic alliance as a team effort to help you reach your goals. Do circumstances outside of your control have you feeling overwhelmed? Perhaps there's a memory that you cannot simply 'let go'? During therapy sessions I always draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities in an attempt to lessen your life stressors. Preferred theoretical orientations include CBT, DBT, ACT, MI, & components of SFBT. A clinician may use different theories, but there is never a one size-fits-all to helping a client.
I would not say that I have an ideal client, but I am not certain if there is an ideal therapist out there either! I've found that by highlighting the similarities amongst people creates more contentment in my own life. I hope that we can connect in the future to ensure that what you're looking for in the therapeutic process is something that I can provide.
Some areas of clinical expertise are Panic Disorder, Neurodivergence (ADHD), LGBTQ+ issues, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Addiction-related topics.
I often am obtaining additional house plants, of which now I have roughly 30 and truly should not acquire any more. I greatly enjoy time spent outside and recently overcame an irrational fear of kayaking.
