The most important parts of mental wellness are the ability to increase one’s self-awareness and broaden one’s perspective. As your counselor, I will provide a safe and judgment free environment for you to gain a better understanding of whatever issues you are dealing with as an individual, couple, or family including marital/relationship, mental health issues. The main goal of most clients is "to feel better," and I am here to help you make that goal more specific so that you can grow in the areas most important to you. I also strive to destigmatize counseling for men, Black / African-Americans, and other minority groups.
Together, we will work to separate you from the problem so that we can work on solving the problem together. My goal is not to pull you out of your current space, but to work through it with you and give you the skills to work through any other crossroads that you encounter in the future.
As a couples or family counselor I will facilitate a deeper level of communication between clients so that you can be not only heard, but also understood by your partner or loved ones.
