Janson has worked with children and adolescents age 8 – 17 in a crisis setting focusing on a variety of issues (Anger, Depression, Anxiety, Suicidal Ideation, etc.) He also has experience working with college students dealing with burnout, relationship issues, social anxiety etc. Janson believes that therapy is different for each individual.
He believes that trust and hard work are the core elements of counseling. Janson’s primary therapeutic influences come from existential, person centered, and cognitive behavioral. He believes people need to create their own sense of purpose, and can do so through self-reflection, behavioral changes, and exploring their freedom/responsibility.
