I've seen lives change and hearts heal. I can help you control persistent, painful conflicts that may leave you feeling anxious, angry, lonely, and sad. It is possible to find understanding, direction, and strengths. One of the most challenging circumstances encountered in life involves the loss of a person, an ideal, your self-image, or your future. I utilize insight-oriented therapy as well as cognitive-behavioral treatment, as needed.
Insight-oriented psychotherapy helps you understand and redirect toxic patterns. Change is a constant. Why not direct it? When appropriate, I use cognitive behavioral tools, which can include breathing techniques and relaxation exercises. Also, I have extensive experience working with clinical social workers, psychologists, and mental health counselors.
I have 23 years in private practice. During those years, I've trained and supervised psychotherapists, clinical social workers, and interns. I am a former instructor at the Psychoanalytic Training Institute of the New York Counseling Center. I became a certified Yoga Instructor in 1989.
