I use an integrative approach to psychotherapy, drawing from a range of evidence-based methods to meet the unique needs of each individual. A Treatment Plan tailored to each client involves a combination of cognitive, affective, behavioral, and somatic techniques. I draw from a variety of methodologies and techniques to incorporate what is most helpful in resolving current and long-standing issues.
I treat individuals and couples, often using a systems perspective to address individual stresses and relational conflicts. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques and Certified in EMDR, an integrative psychotherapy shown to be effective in helping people heal from the symptoms of early or recent trauma and other distressing life experiences.
Stress can have physical, mental, and emotional symptoms. Unhealthy coping mechanisms that develop over time can magnify, rather than reduce, the negative effects of stress. Therapy can help build effective stress management skills to reduce stress from both acute and chronic life challenges, increasing the resources necessary to affect lasting change.
