Whatever brought you here, welcome. Often, people seek help because they have a sense that all is not well, even if they don’t have language to explain what they feel or why. I believe that honoring this knowing is one of the bravest things we can do and is an essential step in recovering a sense of well-being. I consider it a privilege to join with clients to explore the beliefs, hopes, fears, and struggles that are all part of what it means to be human. I draw from trauma-focused, relational, narrative, and mindfulness-based approaches, and prioritize creating a safe, compassionate, therapeutic relationship.
Trauma and other painful life experiences result in disconnection from ourselves and others. Healing these places of disconnection allows a return to safety, to being present in our bodies, and connection to our own knowing. This re-connection allows us to recover an authentic sense of who we are and how we want to be in the world.
I have over 15 years of experience helping people explore their stories of trauma, and the impact it has on their life and relationships. This work includes couples seeking increased intimacy, help with relational challenges or preparation for marriage. I would be honored to join you in recovering a sense of well-being and stability.
