Hello! My name is Janet Shannon, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am warm and empathic, and my approach is kindness. I really enjoy what I do, particularly working with grief, loss and trauma. I am open to working with most people. I enjoy working with people who are adopted, or going through grief and loss issues or trauma. I am comfortable with people with all kinds of issues, however.
I am down to earth. I walk with you. I have been told I am easy to work with as I don't use a lot of technical language, and I am straightforward with an easy gentleness.
I love people! I have always been interested in the human psyche. As a kid, my mother had an extensive library. I started reading her books. I particularly liked Carl Jung and Fritz Perls when I was around 11 or 12. I do this work because "We must all hang together, or assuredly, we will all hang separately." -Benjamin Franklin
