With 30 years of experience as a clinical psychologist, I have successfully treated children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I work with a well-established, multi-disciplinary group of mental health professionals in West Hartford. I treat a range of issues, including adjustment disorders, depression and anxiety, divorce, learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, dyslexia, and executive function disorders. In my practice, I encourage clients to develop the strategies to make use of their strengths as they reduce distress and manage the obstacles in their lives. I find each person who enters my office to be unique and interesting.
I provide diagnostic testing to identify mental disorders. I offer services to public and independent schools, students, and families, including evaluations and treatment for learning disabilities and emotional issues. I assist families with divorce, including education, co-parenting, conflict management, parent reunification, and when necessary, custody studies.
I have a psychoanalytic background and developmental, educational, and clinical training that I integrate with positive and cognitive psychology to treat clients using an extensive combination of skills. I am able to offer referrals to psychiatrists and independent school/college consultants in my group with whom I can coordinate treatment.
